Well, I did the darn thing.
I launched my very own lifestyle blog. ALL. MINE. Eeeek!
See, it’s not that I think there are generally a lack of lifestyle blogs out there in the inter webs. There are *checks stats* a metric ton of blogs available for your viewing pleasure.
So why did I feel the need to carve out a corner of the internet?
Because we are constantly inundated by messages to be ALL. THE. THINGS.
Have a cute, cozy home, but also be a minimalist and don’t place value on physical things. Dress for comfort, but also for style, and also for the job you want. Also, don’t worry about how you look but you really should try to look good. Workout, but also don’t be obsessed with your health. Shop and support the local economy, but also don’t spend money, why would you spend money? Be a stay-at-home mom, but also simultaneously be a CEO. And also a personal chef, please.
It’s all … loud.
So. The last thing this site is supposed to do is make you feel less than/not enough/too this/too that.
It is a space to curate inspiration, find ideas, and spread joy. Maybe you take a tip or two and add it to your personal toolkit. Maybe you find THE perfect sundress and buy it. Maybe you rethink your morning routine. Maybe none of the above. That’s OK, too.
Formal Normal is all about striking a balance in life that makes us feel, look, think, and act our personal best — whatever that looks like.
I want to help you discover life’s little joys and happy moments, because that’s the good stuff. (Read more about me + the story behind Formal Normal HERE!)
This blog is my blank canvas — my chance to create a lovely, joyful space that reflects my aspirations and brightest moments.
And I’m so grateful you’re along for the ride.
